I do a radio show called one on one I wanted to ask you if someone from the band might be interested in doing an interview a phone interview at some point as we’re heard all over the world on Mountain Meadow Productions one-on-one radio you can let me know through my email thanks
BOTH times I had an opportunity to see SAC “live” I was THERE !!!!!!!! The first time was (I think) April 4,1968 at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, NC at which SAC played first, then Buffalo Springfield, then The Beach Boys. I think that was the day (or very close to it) that Dr.King was assassinated because Mike Love announced that since their evening concert in (I think) Chapel Hill, NC had been cancelled (probably due to rioting or anticipated rioting due to the murder–though Mr.Love definitely did NOT mention THAT), The Beach Boys could play a bit longer in Greenville.
Attending that TRIPLE-DYNAMITE concert was,to this day,one of the HAPPIEST experiences of my life. (I’m guessing) Three or four years later SAC played The Shrine Club in my HOME TOWN of New Bern, NC. Y’all played “California Day” which checked into my Heart and Soul and Body and Mind and NEVER checked out!
Just now I’ve been listening to a number of your songs on Youtube and the musicianship and singing just BLOWS my MIND! PLUS: I’ve ALWAYS adored your group’s name because it’s SO FUN !!!
That would be me!
I had a blast selling cars. Did it from 1986-2015
It started as a way out of constant touring. It allowed me to focus on 🍓⏰ and some other original music projects. As well as a lot of charitable stuff. Since retiring from the car business it’s been just music.
I’m 20 years old, and I love your music. Strawberry Alarm Clock is one of my favorite bands/artists from the 1960s. My all-time favorite song is ‘Incense & Peppermint,’ and Mom & I would love to see your band, especially me! I have the album and plan to buy the 45 RPM for the song. If I see you live, I will definitely buy a T-shirt. Can’t wait to hopefully see you guys!
It’s so good to see the old crew still at it, making music. Let me know if there are any events to attend in So Cal or even western states. I’m only 52, but I’ve enjoyed this music for most of my life, and would like to support them at a venue. Maybe it’s a pipe dream, but then, weren’t they all?
Just watched Matt Williamson’s SAC feature on Pop Goes The 60’s on YouTube. It reminded me that I’m sure I saw the band in the late 60’s. Am I dreaming, or did the band play in Montreal – probably on a package tour – in the 60’s? The venue was (I’m pretty sure) The Montreal Forum. I think Ed was playing a Gretsch guitar.
The reason I ask is when I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd as an opening act in the early 70’s, I remember thinking that one of the guitar players looked quite familiar (Ed King, obviously).

I’m just a fan. But I was wondering if any attempt has ever been made to book SAC on the Happy Together Tour? Would love to see the guys out there!

Thomas: The best way to get news about upcoming shows is via SAC email. Gigs will be posted on the web site as well. Cheers …
